The Indiana Hoosiers scored two runs on three hits in the bottom of the sixth inning to break open a 4-4 ballgame — and went on to defeat the Iowa Hawkeyes 7-4 in the first game of the Big Ten baseball tournament this afternoon. Iowa jumped out to a 4-1 lead in the fourth inning, but gave up three runs in the fifth to let the Hoosiers back into the ballgame. Hawkeye starter Reed Pawelk pitched five and two-thirds of an inning before leaving the game. Iowa drops into the losers bracket and will play the loser of the Michigan State-Northwestern game tomorrow at noon.
