An eight-year-old boy from Marble Rock who was riding his bicycle yesterday is dead after being struck by a backhoe in Rockford. Jordan Fenton and his six-year-old sister Madison were riding their bicyclesdown a hill and turned onto another street, directly into the path of anoncoming tractor. Jordan’s bicycle collided with a backhoe owned byFullerton Excavating and operated by 37-year-old Ryan Uker. Jordan waspronounced dead at the scene of the accident, while Madison was taken toMercy Medical Center-North Iowa, where she is listed in fair condition thismorning. It’s not know whether the Fentons were traveling home from school,as the accident occurred shortly after 3:30 in downtown Rockford.
