Investigation continues into the remains of a baby found at a Storm Lake recycling center. Buena Vista County Sheriff Chuck Eddy says there were few clues, but some paper material found near the body may yield information. The sheriff says investigators talked Saturday with five businesses that had thrown away timecards, to narrow down and area where the trash may have been picked up. He says they’re regrouping, going over notes and reviewing leads and interviewing more people. They’re asking people when they put out trash so it’s possible to figure out where or when the child may have been discarded. The infant was a boy, and investigators say they think it had been born 24 to 48 hours before it was found at the recycling center. He says they still don’t know whether the baby was alive at the time it was put into the recycling.
