An eastern Iowa case involving drugs and deaths is going to court. A Davenport man charged with manslaughter in the drug overdose deaths of two Davenport women is expected to submit a plea agreement next month. A July 10 plea hearing has been set for 50-year-old William Heisterman, who was arrested in March. Heisterman was charged with involuntary manslaughter in the March 2001 death of 48-year-old Cathy Wendland and voluntary manslaughter in the November 2001 death of 46-year-old Kimberly Ford-Stuckey. Police say Heisterman gave Ford-Stuckey his prescription Methadone knowing that Wendland had died from ingesting the same drug.
