A Dubuque man who works for a family crisis center has been arrested and charged with soliciting sex from a 14-year-old Illinois girl. Forty-two-year-old Timothy Cashatt was arrested in St. Charles, Illinois, where police say he’d been in contact with a teenage girl through an Internet chat room since June 12th. Cashatt works for Four Oaks, a crisis center for families, children in foster care and troubled teens. Officials with the Cedar Rapids Four Oaks office don’t know how long Cashett has worked at the Dubuque office. St. Charles cops learned Cashatt had arranged to meet the girl for sex and arrested him at their rendezvous point last Thursday. Police have confiscated two computers and floppy discs from Cashatt’s home. Authorities in both states continue to investigate the case.
