Some class reunions start with a picnic, mixer or happy hour. Jennine Fellmer at Maharishi University says this one kicks off with a World Peace Assembly.Fellmer says this week’s all-class reunion at Maharishi University of Management in Fairfield will open with an optional two days of meditating, starting tomorrow.The basis of MUM is to create peace in people and the environment, so alumni are being reminded that by coming together they produce personal and environmental peace. Fellmer says visiting grads will also tour the campus of the school formerly known as Parsons College, and see how it’s affected the town of Fairfield itself since becoming Maharishi University more than a quarter-century ago. They can tour homes and offices in Fairfield and Vedic City, and she says eventually all the campus buildings will be torn down and rebuilt. Fellmer says the old campus buildings were in bad shape, and new ones will have not only better construction, but design based on principles that align with the school’s philosophy. The majority of the reunion activities begin on June 28th.
