City leaders in Waterloo will soon face new rules for using credit cards. An audit last year by the state auditor found a number of questionable expenditures by city officials on city business. Many of them were attributed to Mayor John Roof’s use of the city credit card. The city council will vote on a new policy next week that requires pre-approval before city officials use the credit card.
