An eastern Iowa woman is presumed dead in a wreck in western Illinois. Police say they will use dental records to verify it was a 31-year-old Bettendorf woman who died Wednesday in a fiery crash in Galesburg, Illinois. Galesburg police say the woman was the driver of a car that collided nearly head-on with a semi-truck on U.S. 34. Both vehicles burned. The woman died at the scene. The trucker, 49-year-old Raymond Utych of Sterling Heights, Michigan, was treated and released. Police say it appears the driver of the car was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane. An autopsy has been scheduled, and attempts to identify the woman through dental records will take place later.
