A fire Thursday in eastern Iowa wiped out several pigs. Firefighters were called to the Harold and Julie Sorenson farm near Hudson, known as R-and-S Livestock. Two buildings were engulfed and nearly one thousand pigs were killed. Perhaps one hundred hogs escaped. The cause of the fire is believed to have been electrical.
