Tickets for the general public to this year’s Iowa-Iowa State football game go on sale tomorrow.The big game is being played in Iowa City this year and Hawkeye assistant ticket manager Matt Arend says fans have already been calling his office seeking the six to seven thousand tickets that’re available.Whether you’re a Hawkeye or a Cyclone, Arend says you can call 1-800-IA-Hawks to order.But he encourages people to avoid the busy signal by going on-line to order tickets at www.hawkeyesports.com. Arend says the on-line option may even be up and running by today. And if you’re in Iowa City, you can stop by the ticket office. He says the on-line system is proving popular in its first year of use. He says customers can immediately know where their tickets are when ordering on-line, and sometime in the future will be able to select their seats. The goods news — the Cy-Hawk game tickets are the same price as last year: 40 bucks. Arend says overall, Hawkeye fans have shown good interest in the upcoming season, with season ticket sales renewed at a 98-percent rate.The Iowa-ISU game kicks off at 5 p-m September 14th in Kinnick Stadium.
