Iowans in southwest Iowa’s Page County spent the weekend cleaning up after a Friday night storm damaged several farmsteads extensively. Page County Sheriff Mike Williams says at least 10 farms in the southeast portion of the county were hit.Barns and other outbuildings were destroyed at four farmsteads. Homes had all the windows blown out, and there was extensive roof damage from the hail that passed through. Williams says while there were no injuries to humans, crops in the area were heavily damaged. Page County Emergency Management director Ray Bryant says there’s no doubt in his mind that it was a tornado.Bryant says two-by-fours are buried in the ground so far he can’t even shake ’em.
