An autopsy performed Tuesday confirms a 72-year-old Tama County man died of e-coli poisoning.Doctors are still uncertain about the origin of the bacteria but say Earl Workman had eaten hamburger before becoming ill, but the death is -not- related to recent recalls of meat and lettuce. It’s the first confirmed e-coli death in Iowa in two years.
