The price of gas declined in Iowa by $.02 a gallon over the past four weeks. David Downing of the Iowa Department of Natural Resources helps conduct the pump price survey, and says while demand was up, so was the supply of gasoline. The average price for a gallon of self-serve unleaded was $1.35. Downing warns that gas prices could rise significantly this fall. Downing says if we go to war with Iraq or if there are problems in other oil-producing countries, that could cause some price spikes.
