Hawkeye coach ready for opener

The Iowa Hawkeyes open at home against Akron in non-conference play. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz says he feels good about the upcoming season but admits there are always a lot of questions before the season opener.Ferentz says normally he gets a good feel on how a team will play by how it practices leading up to the game.Senior Brad Banks draws the start at quarterback. Ferentz says with an added year of experience, Banks has shown good decision making in practice. He says Banks is a quarterback who happens to be an athlete, what he calls a great combination.
