Drake lost to Western Illinois of the Gateway Conference 64-7 last night in Macomb, Illinois in the Bulldogs season opener. Drake lost senior pre-season All-American quarterback Ira Vandever to injury and he did not play in the second half of the ballgame. Drake returns to action September 7th against Truman State.
