A crash in eastern Iowa early Monday claimed a life. A 22-year-old Davenport man is dead following a car crash at 12:06 Monday morning. Michael Orr became the city’s seventh traffic fatality this year. He was in a Ford Escort that jumped a curb in northwest Davenport, hit a sign post and flipped onto its top. Witnesses said two young men got out of the car and fled the scene, leaving Orr, who had to be extricated. He was dead on arrival at a hospital.
