A Davenport man is charged after a fatal accident on Labor Day. Police say 18-year-old Lawrence Harmon drove the car that went out of control and crashed early Monday, killing a passenger, 22-year-old Michael Orr of Davenport. Witnesses told police two occupants of the car fled on foot. Orr had to be extricated and was dead on arrival at a hospital. Harmon turned himself in on Tuesday and was charged with leaving the scene of an accident, failure to have his vehicle under control, driving under suspension and failure to have insurance.
