Senator Tom Harkin says he has said all along that President Bush needs Congressional approval before the U-S takes action against Iraq. President Bush yesterday met with Congressional leaders, and promised he’d seek their endorsement before launching a strike against Saddam Hussein. Harkin says he needs to see evidence that Iraq is a threat, and Harkin says so far, the Bush Administration hasn’t made the case. Harkin says Bush needs to do some coalition-building with other countries, too. Harkin says the U-S can’t go it alone, and must at least have members of the NATO countries on our side.
