Residents in the eastern part of Manchester had to evacuate their homes this morning after a natural gas leak. Firefighters and workers from the local natural gas company were called to a home shortly before nine o’clock where there was an extensive build-up of natural gas. Officials quickly pinpointed the source. Nearby residents were allowed back into their homes by mid-morning.
