A day after the one-year anniversary of the September 11th attacks, several law officers in Iowa are being trained in how to identify terrorists. Charles Larson is the U-S Attorney for the northern district of Iowa. Larson says they’re starting training for state and local officers from Dubuque to Sioux City.He says the key to preventing further terrorist acts is by identifying potential terrorists at the local level. Larson says they’re being trained to identify “pre-terrorist” act indicators, so they can then report to federal officials. The federal government is paying for the training.
