The Drake Bulldogs return to action this weekend with a visit to Missouri-Rolla. Drake is 0-2 but the losses have been to Western Illinois and Truman State so coach Rob Ash remains encouraged. He says Western and Truman both have outstanding teams and his team didn’t play as poorly as the scores indicated.Ash says if the Bulldogs remain healthy and don’t get discouraged the schedule will pay dividends. He says the tough schedule raises the bar for his team and makes them improve their ability to compete.Missouri-Rolla is from the same conference as Truman State. Ash says the Bulldogs need to start eliminating mistakes as they push toward their eventual goal of winning the Pioneer Football League.
