The Iowa State Cyclones bid for their fourth win of the season at home against a Troy State team that has played a number of big name programs on the road the last couple of years. Iowa State coach Dan McCarney says he’s impressed with Troy State’s attitude.McCarney says the Cyclone defense needs to play with emotion to be successful, he says that’s there only chance to have a good defense is to play relentlessly.McCarney says the Cyclones need to take advantage of every game and continue to improve.Iowa closes out non-conference play at home against Utah State. Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz expects the Hawkeyes to bounce back from last week’s loss to Iowa State and play well.The Iowa defense will be tested again by a strong passing attack led by quarterback Jose Fuentes. Ferentz says Fuentes may not be the caliber of Seneca Wallace, but has put up solid numbers. Ferentz says the defensive line has been better than expected.
