The Iowa State Cyclones take a 4-1 mark into this weekend’s showdown with Nebraska after a 42-12 cruise past Troy State on Saturday night. Iowa State coach Dan McCarney was pleased with the Cyclones run defense, which yielded only 118-yards. He says they’re going to see one of the better rush attacks in college football this week in the Cornhuskers. McCarney says his previous matchups with Nebraska have all been mismatches, and they have to be prepared for another tough game. McCarney expects to play a motivated Nebraska team that’s very talented, physical and tough.Cyclone safety JaMaine Billups says this is a big opportunity for the Cyclones. He says they’re trying to take the whole season to another level and will play hard no matter who it is. As a native of Omaha, Billups says this game has some added meaning. He says he’ll have a lot of friends on the Nebraska sideline and it will be a hard fought game.
