The Iowa State Cyclones will face a hot-hand when they host Texas Tech on Saturday. Tech quarterback Cliff Kingsbury has thrown 11 touchdown passes in the last couple of weeks, including five in Saturday’s overtime win against Texas A-and-M. Tech coach Mike Leach says Kingsbury’s gotten progressively better as he’s gone on. Leach says Kingsbury’s led the conference in passing the last two years, something that’s tough to do. He says the quarterback’s leadership has helped the offense gain momentum, as the people around him all are playing well. Leach say with Kingsbury and Seneca Wallace, this game will feature two of the nation’s top quarterbacks. But, he says it’s amazing that people act like the two have just surfaced in the last two months. He says both qb’s have been putting up good numbers in the last two years.
