A man jailed in Adel has some explaining to do to state troopers about what he was carrying along the Interstate. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office got help from the newly-formed Drug Interdiction Task Force stopped a car for speeding about the 112 mile marker on I-80 near De Soto yesterday, and say when they searched the vehicle they found about twenty pounds of marijuana. They arrested Eugene Knight of Dearborn Heights, Michigan, and charged him with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver, and drug tax-stamp violations. Knight’s in the Dallas County jail in Adel on a little over 19-thousand dollars bond.
