Davenport cops say they’ve got the man who robbed a Davenport bank over the noon-hour yesterday. Employees at Valley Bank in Davenport say a white man walked toward tellers yesterday at about 12:30, pulled a ski mask over his face, jumped over the counter and demanded money. The man grabbed money from some cash drawers and dashed out of the bank. A bank employee followed, and flagged down a cop in the area. The cop caught the suspect, who was not carrying a weapon. Thirty-four-year-old Mark David Payne of Cape Girardeau, Missouri has been charged with first degree robbery and he’s being held in the Scott County jail. Payne’s vehicle was found parked near the bank and cops have that in their custody, too.
