Marion County authorities have released more information on the discovery of two bodies at a home near Knoxville. The bodies were found about 12:45 Thursday afternoon. They’re identified as 48-year-old John Caswell Junior, who lived at the home, and 37-year-old Steven Emerson of Knoxville. Both were apparently shot to death. Marion County Sheriff Marvin Van Haaften now says it’s a double-murder investigation. Van Haaften also says they found a meth lab in the home. Autopsies are planned by the state medical examiner. Van Haaften says officers were called to the farm home about two miles south of town around noon Thursday.Both deaths, being handled as homicides, were from gunshot wounds, and John Caswell who lives there was found along a driveway not far from his home. A second man, identified as 36-year-old Steven Emerson, was also found dead in a small camper-trailer on the farmstead. When they took away his body they found a meth lab there and were out taking it apart till early this morning. Sheriff Van Haaften says an autopsy’s being done today by the state medical examiner.
