A northwest Iowa grain elevator collapsed early yesterday afternoon in Ritter.Farmers Cooperative Society in Sioux Center owns the elevator. It’s located about five miles north of Sheldon on Highway 60. The elevator’s manager says about 70-thousand bushels of corn spilled. Nearby railroad tracks were closed for a couple of hours, but are now open. No one was hurt.
