Now that we’re well into November, many Iowans are thinking about the annual ritual of sending holiday greeting cards. A nonprofit group that works to help improve the lives of children diagnosed with cancer is offering packages of cards in a variety of colorful themes. Tony Timm, associate director of the Heart Connection Children’s Cancer Programs says each of the eight designs were hand drawn by children in the summer camp program.Timm says the cards come in a variety of sets. For orders of 250 or more cards, a free line of imprinting is available. Timm says all of the money raised goes directly into the Iowa-based charity.Timm says 100-percent of the proceeds from the cards go to help support the organization’s summer camps and year-round family programs.
