The Iowa State Cyclones look to bounce back from a lopsided loss at Kansas State but have a difficult chore, with a visit to Colorado. This will be Iowa State’s 12th game in what will be the longest season in school history. Defensive lineman Jordan Carstens says while players are battle fatigued at this time of year, they remain highly motivated. Carstens says the team’s still playing for the post-season and the best bowl game they can land, so there’s incentive to do well in their regular season finale. Iowa State has traditionally played well against Colorado and Carstens says the K-State series may have something to do with that because they’ve been coming off an embarassing loss against the Bobcats. Carstens says with Colorado’s ground game the Cyclone defense will need a good effort and must be ready for anything, especially the cold weather.
