The Iowa Hawkeyes look to gain at least a share of the Big Ten Conference title when they travel to Minnesota Saturday. Iowa doesn’t play Ohio State, the other co-leader in the conference. but Minnesota has played and lost to the Buckeyes, and coach Glen Mason says Iowa’s the better team. He says from his vantage and evaluating the film, Iowa is the best team they’ll face this year. He says Iowa is very good offensively led by quarterback Brad Banks. Mason was asked how they’ll try and stop Iowa’s high-powered offense.He joked they will play 13 guys on defense. Mason says Iowa hasn’t had a cakewalk all the way, but to their credit, they’ve played through some things and got the wins. Mason says this game is a great rivalry that goes way back, and the battle for the “Floyd of Rosedale” pig trophy is important. He says there’s a different feel, as after some games you walk across the field and shake the other guy’s hand. But in this game he says the team that lost the year before races across the field to get the trophy — they symbol of victory.Iowa enters the game at 10-1 overall and 7-0 in the conference. Minnesota is 7-3 overall and 3-3 in the Big Ten.
