The 8th ranked UNI volleyball team will look to clinch the Missouri Valley conference championship as they close out their home schedule with a pair of matches this weekend. The Panthers will host Illinois State tonight and Indiana State tomorrow. Northern Iowa will win their 5th straight Valley title if they win both matches. This weekend’s action will be the final two regular season home matches for UNI senior’s Kim Kester and Miranda Weber. Kester and Weber have never lost at home in their careers as UNI has won an NCAA record 4th best 56-straight matches. Kester feels that playing in the West Gym has been a special experience ane she believes it gives them the edge in many matches.Weber also has fond memories of playing in front of the West Gym fans. She says it shows how much the fans bring to the games and help them win.Kester is fourth all-time in school history in kills, while Weber is 5thall-time in school history in digs. Northern Iowa is 26-2 on the season.
