Jury selection is underway today in the murder trial of Donald Boss who’s accused of killing his 10-year-old adopted son Timothy. About 200 jurors have been called to the Plymouth County Courthouse in Le Mars — that’s about three times the typical jury pool. The larger jury pool was a compromise attorneys reached with the judge after Boss’ attorney questioned the large number of news stories about he case and the potential for a fair trial. Boss is the only person charged with the death of his son in February of 2000, however prosecutors have amended the charge to indicate he allegedly acted alone, or with his wife Lisa to cause the child’s death during an assault.
