What had been a very successful season for the Iowa State football team ended with a thud on Saturday. Connecticut scored the final 27-points of the game to stun the cyclones 37-20 as the Cyclones closed the regular season 7-6.McCarney says his team was very diappointed with the outcome and says they may’ve been gassed after a 13-game regular season.The Cyclones did a good job of protecting the ball in opening the season 6-1 but since then have been turnover prone. McCarney says that has really hurt them and they need to get it solved before a bowl game.The Cyclones now must wait to see where they will be headed for a third-straight bowl game.
