Iowa moves on to face Montana State

The Iowa basketball team will take on Montana State Friday night in the opening round of their own tournament. The Hawks dropped to 3-1 after a 13-point loss at Florida State Monday night in the ACC/Big Ten Challenge. Iowa coach Steve Alford says he’s anxious to see how the team responds in correcting mistakes. Freshman Greg Brunner has gotten off to a good start while splitting time between the small forward and power forward position.Brunner and fellow freshman Jeff Horner are logging better than 30-minutes per game but Alford is not concerned about them wearing down. He says both of them are tough mentally and can handle it.
