Des Moines to host MVC Womens’ Tourney in March

The Greater Des Moines Convention and Visitors Bureau has signed on as title sponsor of the Missouri Valley Conference women’s basketball tournament which will be hosted by Drake University next March. Greg Edwards is President and C-E-O of the convention and visitors bureau and says they will work with Drake and the conference on cross promotional efforts. He says this tournament will bring in more people from neighboring states and this is his target market. Edwards says this is the type of event the C-V-B needs to be involved in. He anticipates three to four thousand visitors from outside Des Moines, which he says is “big dollars.”
