The grand opening will be held this weekend for the new I-M-X sports arena in northeast Iowa, between Epworth and Farley. It’s the first facility of its kind in the state. The arena spans 60-thousand square feet and offers bleacher seating for 500 people, along with concessions, a picnic area, beer garden, an arcade and pit area. It’ll host indoor motorcross racing this weekend with some of the nation’s top riders competing for up to 50-thousand dollars in prizes. The arena’s owners hope to draw entertainment in the future to include: rodeos, circuses, livestock shows, arena football and rugby.
