Now a Remsen man’s been found guilty in the death of his son, local officials say it’s time to give the boy a proper burial. A jury found 38-year-old Donald Boss guilty of first-degree murder last week. The child’s remains have been examined and tested, but never buried. Plymouth County attorney Darren Raymond says eventually something will be done about Timothy Boss’s burial. He says though they hadn’t really discussed it, he and the sheriff had agreed a long time ago the search for Timothy’s body wasn’t just to get evidence or stage a prosecution but to ensure his remains were taken care of. Donald Boss will be sentenced in Plymouth County District Court this (Monday) afternoon. Plymouth County attorney Darren Raymond says throughout the investigation and trial, deputies and courthouse workers carried copies of the picture of Timothy Boss. He says from the start when the picture was first sent, nobody had known Timothy and it helped remind them every day as they went through all the investigation and legal process that the subject wasn’t just a corpse, but was a little boy. Raymond has praise for law-enforcement agencies that worked with prosecutors on the Boss case.He says they couldn’t do it without the sheriff, DCI and attorney general’s office. Today or tomorrow prosecutors may make a decision on charging Lisa Boss, who was implicated in the child’s death by her husband and by witness statements during the trial of Donald Boss. Lisa Boss remains under house arrest in LeMars after she was stopped in Montana with nine of her children after the investigation began almost a year ago into Timothy’s death.
