Boise State coach says home field advantage won’t help

Boise State coach Dan Hawkins says in the end home field advantage will have little to do with the outcome of the Bronco’s game against Iowa State. Those two teams square off in the December 31st Humanitarian Bowl in Boise. He says there are all kinds of wants and wishes, but he says the bottom line is that you can’t control everything that goes into deciding the bowl game field.Boise State was thought to be a candidate for the Seattle Bowl but accepted the bid to the Humanitarian. He says that was a remote possibility, but his team was not the primary pick for the game.Hawkins says they viewed the Humanitarian as the sure thing and didn’t mind knowing they had a solid deal. Boise State is 11-1 and finished 8-0 in the Western Athletic Conference.
