The mother of a child whose remains were found buried in the basement of their Remsen home is now jailed in the boy’s death. 34-year-old Lisa Marie Boss was arrested in Sioux City yesterday and charged with first-degree murder, child endangerment and kidnapping. She’s accused of acting with her husband to kidnap and kill their adopted ten-year-old son, Timothy. 38-year-old Donald Boss was convicted of murder last week and was sentenced Monday to life in prison. He plans to appeal. Lisa Boss is now being held in the Plymouth County Jail on 250-thousand dollars bond. She was a material witness until she was arrested. Plymouth County Sheriff Mike Van Otterloo says her husband’s conviction changed the investigation’s focus to her. Sheriff Van Otterloo would not specify what new information they may have.Asked if Donald Boss was helping the case against his wife, Van Otterloo would only say “no comment” but the sheriff did say that things Donald Boss testified about during his trial are part of the information that led to charges against Lisa Boss.
