Powerball ticket sales are surging, prior to tonight’s drawing for an estimated 215-million dollar jackpot, the third-largest prize in the game’s history. Lottery spokeswoman Mary Neubauer says office pools often form when the jackpot gets this big, which comes with a warning.Neubauer says it’s a good idea to make photocopies of the tickets purchased along with everyone’s names and how much money they put in — and give everyone a copy to avoid anyone coming forward later and trying to make a claim on the jackpot, or having the ticket stolen.Neubauer says the jackpot is estimated at 215-million, but it could grow even larger, as it’s based on sales. The jackpot’s gotten this big because no one has matched all six numbers in 15 consecutive weeks. The jackpot hasn’t been this high since the summer of 2001.
