Grassley: North Korea a world threat

U-S Senator Chuck Grassley says North Korea is rising to become as much of a threat to world peace as Iraq, after North Korea announced it took apart U-N monitoring gear at a nuclear facility that could provide plutonium for nuclear weapons. Grassley, a Republican, says North Korea is “very much a threat” and has the potential to deliver a weapon at least as far as Alaska. U-S Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said yesterday the U-S -is- capable of waging simultaneous wars against both Iraq and North Korea, though Grassley stresses diplomacy may be able to diffuse the situation in North Korea.
