Vilsack’s aides say the Governor will challenge Iowans to think big and act boldly. Vilsack says heading into his second term, he feels more confident because he won a tough reelection battle. He says you learn about the job and mature as you go along and he says that’s what he’s doing. Republican House Speaker Christopher Rants of Sioux City says the big clues about Vilsack’s agenda, though, won’t come ’til month’s end when Vilsack presents lawmakers with his state budget plan. He says they’ll want to see if the governor has listened and incorporated changes they’ve suggested in the budget he presents.Vilsack’s speech begins at 10 this morning, and will be broadcast live on many Radio Iowa stations, and on the Internet at radioiowa.com
