Drake is on the road in Missouri Valley Conference action tonight to play Southwest Missouri State. Drake is 2-5 in the Valley while S-M-S is off to a 6-1 start in conference play.Drake coach Kurt Kanaskie says the Bears’ success has started on the defensive end and they’re the best defenders in the conference. Kanaskie says the Bulldogs are in the midst of the crucial point of their season in which they play four teams tied for first in the conference.
