Highway crashes have killed two northeastern Iowa men. A Ryan man died in a weather-related accident near Coggon Monday afternoon when an eastbound vehicle slid out-of-control into a westbound vehicle. Ronald McCusker of Ryan was killed, and two others were injured. An Edgewood man died about 11-30 Monday in Johnson County at the intersection of two county roads near Wellman when a pickup driven by a 76-year-old man didn’t stop at the stop sign and hit a car driven by an Oxford man. Both vehicles ended up in the ditch. The pickup’s driver, James Mangold of Edgewood, was airlifted to University Hospitals but died of his injuries. His passenger and the other driver were treated at University Hospitals.
