Three charged with abducting boy from Oskaloosa

Three people are charged after the abduction of a boy in Oskaloosa. Lindsey Siez of Beacon reported Thursday evening that her two-year-old son Michael had been taken from the WalMart store in Oskaloosa by her estranged husband, 23-three-year-old Gerald Siez of Hannibal, Missouri. He was apparently assisted in the abduction by his mother — 57-year-old Jo Ellen Hay of Quincy, Illinois — and 56-year-old Judy Dalton, also of Quincy. Warren County law enforcement officers arrested Hay and Dalton this morning around 12:30 near Indianola and charged them each with child stealing. Gerald Siez was arrested about 45 minutes later in Quincy, Illinois. The boy was in his custody and unharmed. The boy has been returned to his mother and Siez will be transported back to Mahaska County to face charges of kidnapping.
