Hundreds more citizen-soldiers in Iowa are answering the call to serve in Operation Enduring Freedom. Over the weekend, the Iowa National Guard announced four more units are being ordered to federal active duty and they’re reporting for duty today. The units have a total of just over 500 members and take the number of Iowa Guard members activated to 15-hundred. They are — the 11-68th Transportation Company out of Red Oak, Perry and Audubon; the 186th Military Police Company from Camp Dodge; the 185th Rear Operations Center from Jefferson and Company D, 109th Aviation, based in Boone. All units are being ordered to federal duty for one, possibly, two years.
