Sioux City could become a little like San Francisco if a plan for a trolley becomes reality. The plan for the track along the Missouri River on the west side of Sioux City will be presented to the city council March 15th. The trolley would be operated by volunteers from the Siouxland Historic Railroad Commission. The trolley is expected to cost considerably less than the 10-million dollars set aside by federal officials for the project. The city would have to pay 20-percent of the cost of the trolley. The project is still up in the air as non of the councilmembers have said they favor the plan.
