Drake women fall late to Creighton

Drake fell victim to Creighton’s pressure defense as the Bulldogs dropped a 70-56 decision Sunday in womens’ basketball in the Knapp Center. Carla Bennett led Drake with 23-points and 13-rebounds, while freshman Sydney Franklin came off the bench and finished with six points. She says they let down a little on defense. Drake fell behind big in the opening half and got to as close as one before the Blue Jays pulled away down the stretch.
