Demolition has started on the old terminal building of the Ottumwa Industrial Airport. Officials say crews are removing asbestos and once that’s done, they’ll start knocking down the brick building. The F-A-A forced the city to remove the structure because of a line-of-sight problem. A new one-million-dollar terminal was built last year. The original terminal was built during World War Two and was part of a Naval station. Former President Nixon was among those who served there.
